Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a reputable manufacturer on the appointment of a Senior Test Engineer. The ideal candidate will be an experienced test engineer. In this role you will develop and maintain test systems (including hardware and software) and provide day to day production support. As part of the test engineering team you will be involved in improvement projects and introducing new equipment and new products into production. A sample of the key responsibilities: Day to day support of production, troubleshooting issues with automated test systems Proactively identifying opportunities to improve current test system Investigation of test failures Leading in longer term team projects Setup and maintain electrical measurement systems. Design and construct test hardware. Modify/generate test code to control instrumentation and perform automated testing. Develop an understanding of the production test machinery. Update/produce technical documentation such as circuit diagrams, test procedures and operating instructions. Provide training and support to wider teams where required. A sample of the core requirements: Over 5-10 years of industry experience and a degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Proactive with a hands-on approach Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
