Senior Electronics Engineer - Key Responsibilities: The purpose of the role is the design, simulation, debugging, testing and maintenance of microprocessor-based electronic sub-systems comprising programmable logic devices, communications interfaces and related support devices.This will be undertaken alongside other technical activities while working with hardware, software, mechanical and PCB engineers to deliver specific project goals derived from future product requirements.Responsibilities will include the identification and selection of suitable devices, design of digital sub-systems, liaising with the PCB designer and developing firmware.A key element of the role will be the delivery of hardware and firmware within agreed timescales and to budgetThe right candidate will be capable of designing and delivering designs with test and manufacture in mind. Demonstration of competence in using schematic entry tools and the VHDL hardware description language. Outline of Competencies: Experience in developing hardware and firmware through the entire lifecycle.Ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.Ability to analyse processes or tools to propose improvements where applicable. .
