Senior Electrical Project Manager

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced-Senior Electrical Project Manager-to join a global consultancy. The position is for a Data Centre project in Dublin for a blue-chip client.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Direct the execution of a major data centre construction project in Dublin, with emphasis on electrical power systems such as switchgear and substation installations.
• Provide strong onsite leadership, ensuring steady progress while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and project requirements.
• Work closely with client, consultant, and contractor teams to oversee snagging works, driving timely completion and maintaining high quality levels.
• Anticipate challenges within electrical power systems and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective, practical solutions.
• Establish, track, and refine project processes related to electrical installations, introducing improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Represent the project in critical meetings, contributing technical expertise on electrical systems and ensuring accurate communication of progress to stakeholders.
• Manage the testing and commissioning of switchgear, substations, and related electrical infrastructure, ensuring all works meet client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Maintain full compliance with documentation and procedural requirements, ensuring consistent application across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Have experience as a Project Manager on large industrial projects, ideally in data centres
• Be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of electrical power infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, HV/LV systems, and substation design
• Have a degree in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, or have relevant experience and a project management certification, for example, PMP or Prince2
• Possess excellent communication skills with a proven record of strong relationships with internal and external clients
