Senior Electrical Estimator (Highways) Watford (Hybrid-working) c£60,000 per year (+ Package) The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to take ownership of tendering activity across highways electrical projects including street lighting, traffic signals, CMS/VMS, feeder pillars and associated infrastructure works. This is a commercially focused role responsible for delivering accurate, competitive, and strategically aligned submissions within live infrastructure and framework environments. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for highways electrical projects (£50k-£5m+) Review drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities Price works from first principles, including Design andamp; Build schemes Build labour, plant, material, and subcontract cost models Lead supplier/subcontractor enquiries and quotation negotiations Manage tenders from enquiry through to submission and adjudication Conduct risk assessments and margin reviews Identify value engineering opportunities Provide structured handovers to delivery teams Maintain estimating data, benchmarking, and market intelligence Skills and Experience: Proven experience estimating highways electrical or street lighting projects Strong knowledge of highway infrastructure standards and BS7671 Experience within term maintenance or infrastructure frameworks Commercially astute with strong risk and margin awareness Proficient in estimating software (eg, Conquest, Trimble, Amtech) ..... full job details .....
