My client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding Building Services team in Leeds. They are an industry leader with over 1,500 employees around the UK. 

With the team growing, this is a key appointment at an exciting stage of development. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the team, leading projects, and mentoring junior engineers, while delivering high-quality design solutions across a diverse portfolio.

About the Role

You will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across a wide range of projects, from large-scale developments to smaller, technically complex schemes.

Projects include:

• Education (primary and secondary schools, £15m+)
• Commercial offices (£30–40m developments)
• Healthcare facilities, including hospitals and specialist centres
• Hotels, logistics, and mixed-use developments

This diverse project mix provides a dynamic environment with strong technical and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through to completion
• Manage and coordinate internal and external project teams
• Produce and review detailed calculations, specifications, and drawings
• Act as a key client contact and lead project meetings
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and health & safety requirements
• Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates
• Contribute to sustainable design, focusing on energy efficiency and carbon reduction
