Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Offshore Wind (Remote)

Location: UK based, remote working with occasional travel to a Central Scotland office

Contract Type: 6-Month Initial Contract (Inside IR35, via Umbrella) with potential for extension
Day Rate: -800 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week
Right to Work: Full UK working rights required

About the Role
We''re working with a major player in the UK renewables sector to find a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a large-scale offshore wind programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to front-end electrical design on a high-profile transmission and generation project, working within a collaborative engineering team on complex substation and balance-of-plant design.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver front-end electrical engineering design work
• Develop electrical contract documentation, including preparation and management of substation and electrical balance of plant contracts and Works Information
• Write, review and update technical specifications for substation and electrical balance of plant equipment
• Review external contractors'' design documentation to ensure client requirements are met
• Attend Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests of major substation components to confirm adequate testing has been achieved

Essential Experience

• Offshore wind electrical design experience
• Substation layout design, primary equipment specification and testing experience, up to 400kV
• Strong technical knowledge of renewable electricity generation or transmission
• Good working knowledge of engineering legislation and industry good practice relevant to substation design, primary plant and protection
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand the implications of engineering decisions
