Senior Electrical Engineer (Highways/DNO)

Your new companyA leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of major National Highways projects across the UK. Working within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the development of electrical infrastructure solutions that support the growing demand for EV charging and associated power connections on strategic road networks.Your new roleAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will report directly to the Principal Engineer and provide technical expertise across multiple National Highways projects. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing electrical connection requirements, liaising with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and supporting the delivery of critical electrical infrastructure schemes.Key responsibilities will include: Providing electrical engineering input to DNO connection projects across multiple sites. Reviewing EV charging load demand information and translating requirements into electrical connection solutions. Developing and checking designs for 11/0.4kV transformer-coupled RMUs and LV feeder pillars. Producing and reviewing electrical engineering documentation, including: Load schedules Single line diagrams Equipment specifications and datasheets Cable schedules Associated design documentation Supporting DNO connection applications and capacity upgrades.
