A Senior Electrical Engineer is required for major energy transition, olefins, refinery and petrochemical projects located in both domestic and international markets.Responsibilities

Prepare and check discipline basis of designDiscipline SpecificationsData sheetsInput for Class 2 and 3 estimatesTechnical bid evaluationsDetailed electrical drawingsReview engineering procedures and standardsProvide technical recommendations on the selection of equipment to meet Project requirementsCheck and review vendor proposals, documentation and drawingsParticipate in project, client and vendor meetingsProvide input to Construction Subcontract and evaluate bidsBe prepared to travel in the UK and overseas for meetings, equipment testing and site technical support as requiredTypical background and experience required

Must be able to demonstrate senior electrical engineer level experience through design, procurement and construction phases. Have depth and breadth of experience in the design from first principles of the electrical infrastructure associated with chemical/polymer/power/industrial plant.Must be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to the chemical industry. This must include understanding of hazardous area requirements under DSEAR, ATEX, IEC 60079, API RP 500 and 505 and IP Part 15.Ability to apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and nonstandard situations. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.Capable of explaining difficult concepts and able to persuade others to adopt a point of view. Provides motivation, leadership, mentoring and guidance to others.
