Senior Electrical Engineer

Principal Electrical Engineer - Power-
Location-- Midlands, Gloucester or the North West.-
Salary-- -45,000 - -62,000 DoE
Security-Due to the nature of this work, only sole UK nationals eligible for Security Clearance can be considered.

Copello are working with a leading Defence organisation to recruit Electrical Engineers across multiple levels, supporting critical Power programmes.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Apply fundamental design processes, tools, and systems throughout the engineering lifecycle
• Contribute to multi-functional project teams to deliver on time and to budget
• Support project planning and manage your own workload with guidance where required
• Take an active role in both routine and high-complexity tasks
• Continuously seek improvements in processes, systems, and ways of working

Skills & Experience

• BEng (Hons) / MEng (or equivalent) with CEng (or working towards)
• Experience across the engineering lifecycle
• Knowledge of one or more of: power system modelling, generators, switchgear, protection, power electronics
• Strong understanding of Power System Architecture, Generation & Distribution, Protection & Coordination, or Power Earth Fault Monitoring
• Proven experience working to industry codes and standards
