An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Associate level Electrical Engineer to join a growing and highly respected Building Services team in Leeds. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of high-profile projects across healthcare, education, defence, commercial office, and residential sectors.
You will play a key role in delivering innovative electrical design solutions from concept through to completion while supporting junior engineers and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
The RoleAs a Senior / Associate Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading electrical building services designs across multiple projects
- Producing reports, specifications, calculations, and technical designs
- Delivering projects through all RIBA stages
- Carrying out electrical calculations using industry-standard software
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other consultants
- Attending client and design team meetings
- Undertaking site inspections and technical reviews
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
- Advising clients on sustainability and energy-efficient solutions
- Ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry standards
You will work across a diverse range of projects including:
- Healthcare
- Education
- Defence
- Commercial Office
- Residential Developments
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
- Experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Strong technical design experience across electrical building services
- Knowledge of current regulations and British Standards
- Experience using software such as Amtech, Dialux, or Relux
- Revit/BIM experience desirable
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership desirable
