Senior Electrical Designer

Our client, a prominent firm in the Oil & Gas industry, is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is associated with a high-profile Carbon Capture project, based in our client''s Manchester office. The successful applicant will report to the project lead engineer and benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, typically spending 2-3 days in the office per week.

• Providing safe, practical and economical designs to a high professional standard, adhering to company procedures
• Producing drawing office deliverables, including SLDs, cable schedules, material take offs, BCDs, schematics, and equipment and cable routing layouts
• Checking drawings in compliance with company procedures
• Liaising with other disciplines as required
• Engaging in 3D modelling using Navis Works and AVEVA E3D

• Experience in electrical design within the Oil & Gas sector
• Proficiency in CAD, with an emphasis on 3D modelling
• Good knowledge of HV and LV electrical design
• Understanding of UK legislation and standards
• Relevant qualifications such as ONC, OND, HNC, or HND
• Excellent design working practices and installation requirement knowledge
