Our client has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Manchester.
Role Purpose:
To deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective electrical designs for a major carbon capture project, in line with company procedures, UK legislation, and industry standards.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Produce drawing office deliverables including:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Cable Schedules
- Material Take-Offs (MTOs)
- Schematics, BCDs, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts
- Check and approve drawings to company procedures.
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration and quality.
- Carry out 3D modelling using Navisworks and AVEVA E3D.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years’ engineering/design experience in relevant or similar sectors.
- Proficient in CAD (3D modelling experience desirable).
- Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical design.
- Familiar with UK legislation and standards.
- Good understanding of electrical design working practices and installation requirements.
- Highly motivated, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Safety and risk management focused.
