Senior electrical design engineer

An established multi-disciplinary building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer looking to take on more responsibility within a collaborative consultancy, working across a diverse portfolio of projects while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the growth of the team.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs across a wide range of projects, working closely with architects and other engineering disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the electrical design of building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Managing your own workload and delivering projects with minimal supervision.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team.
• Attending site visits and overseeing installations where required.
• Producing technical reports, feasibility studies and energy assessments.
• Contributing to Part L compliance and sustainable design strategies.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting repeat business.
• Assisting with fee proposals and project planning.
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary design environment.
Projects
You'll gain exposure to a broad mix of projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, workplace, public sector and decarbonisation schemes. The business works on a variety of building types, offering engineers the opportunity to broaden their experience rather than specialising in one sector.
What We're Looking For
• Around 5+ years' experience within a Building Services consultancy.
• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services design.
• Able to work independently while supporting less experienced engineers.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to team development.
