Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Engineer role As a Senior Engineer, you will:Lead and support solar PV and battery energy storage projects from concept through construction and operation.Produce electrical and power-system designs, detailed drawings, schedules, specifications and engineering calculations.Undertake yield simulations, performance modelling, design optimisation, grid connection studies and feasibility assessments.Attend office and site meetings and survey prospective sites, construction works and operational installations.Provide technical support, investigate engineering issues and prepare professional reports and critical studies.Conduct design and peer reviews, design risk analysis and other CDM or safety-in-design activities.Work directly with clients, contribute to proposals and tenders, and supervise junior engineering staff where required.
