Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Main Purpose and Scope of the job The role is to understand and provide the requisite design, technical and engineering expertise to fulfil the contract scope to meet client''s requirements within a set budget and timescale. This will involve the production of project deliverables such as designs, work scope and methods, schedules, studies, reports, software modelling, specifications and other similar engineering based documentation for both High and Low Voltage distribution systems. The role requires interfacing with clients and their representatives in order to ensure that the project(s) are delivered to the stated requirements. Main Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Electrical Engineer has ownership of all projects assigned to them and is responsible for meeting the respective schedule and budget of the project. Although based in Teesside, the role is a UK nationwide role and subsequently, the ability to travel throughout the UK is an essential requirement. This Senior Engineer role requires you to lead and undertake electrical engineering design works, studies and site surveys to gather client technical data. Types of work include; LV and HV distribution design (up to and including 33kV) Power Earthing studies Fault level calculations Protection co-ordination Load flow Arc energy calculations using industry standard software.
