Role: Senior Ecologist - East AngliaLocation: IpswichDuration: Permanent Job DescriptionThe OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced ecologist to play a key role in growing our East Anglia Ecology Team.You will combine technical expertise and business development to secure and deliver complex ecology projects from tender through to report delivery. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to provide best-practice advice, ensure compliance with legislation and policy, and support the successful delivery of high-quality environmental outcomes. You will handle technically challenging tasks, including European Protected Species Licence (EPSL) applications, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA).Our experienced ecologists often coach mentor and/ or line manage more junior members of the team. Technical DeliveryLead and deliver large, complex ecological projectsProvide expert guidance on legislation, policy and best practiceReview and approve technical reports and deliverablesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard Business DevelopmentWin new work through bids, tenders and client engagementBuild and maintain strong client relationships QualificationsEssential ExperienceExperience in environmental consultancyStrong background in ecology, with an ecological degree or similarTrack record of winning work and building client relationships Technical ExpertiseStrong knowledge of ecological survey ..... full job details .....
