Senior Ecologist - Cardiff
Are you an experienced ecologist ready to take the next step in your career? We''re looking for a motivated Senior Ecologist to join our growing team near Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects across South Wales and the South West, working alongside a passionate group of environmental professionals.
You''ll play a key role in leading ecological surveys, managing a range of projects, mentoring junior team members, and liaising with clients and stakeholders. Your expertise will help shape sustainable development and conservation outcomes across a variety of sectors.

What You''ll Do:
Lead and manage ecological projects from inception to completion
Undertake and oversee a wide range of habitat and protected species surveys
Provide high-quality technical reports, including EcIA and HRA assessments
Offer expert guidance to clients, planners, and design teams
Support business development and contribute to bid writing
Mentor junior ecologists and support their professional development
What We''re Looking For:
Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy, and mitigation strategies
At least one protected species licence (bat licence desirable)
Full member (or working towards) of CIEEM
Excellent project management and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
