Are you an experienced ecologist looking to step into a senior role where your expertise will make a real impact? We''re looking for a driven and knowledgeable Senior Ecologist to work on a range of projects across the North West as well as mentoring junior staff.
What you''ll be doing:
Leading field surveys and assessments (e.g. Phase 1/UKHab, protected species, EcIA).
Managing and delivering high-quality technical reports and mitigation strategies.
Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and client communications.
Contributing to business development and proposal writing.
Supporting and mentoring junior team members to help them grow.
What we''re looking for:
Proven experience in ecological consultancy or a related field.
Strong technical expertise in habitat and/or protected species surveys.
Excellent knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
A relevant degree and CIEEM membership (Associate or above).
Protected species licences (e.g. bats, GCN) highly desirable.
Skilled in data interpretation, GIS, and report writing.
