Contract Opportunity: Senior EC&I Engineer
Location: North West (Hybrid - 1 day remote)
Contract Length: 12 months (with strong likelihood of extension)
Rate: Up to -51 per hour (Outside IR35)
Hours: 4-day week (Monday to Thursday, 10-hour days)
We''re seeking a highly skilled Senior EC&I Engineer to support the design and delivery of technically complex projects within the UK nuclear sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to safety-critical engineering solutions as part of a dynamic and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality EC&I designs and documentation in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to technical reviews, HAZOPs, and risk assessments across the engineering lifecycle.
Provide technical input and support to internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
Work collaboratively with Principal Engineers and Engineering Managers to ensure design integrity and quality.
Maintain compliance with nuclear standards, processes, and safety case requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrable experience in EC&I engineering within the nuclear industry - ideally with project experience at AWE or Sellafield.
Skilled in producing and reviewing EC&I design deliverables in a regulated environment.
Good understanding of control systems, electrical design, and functional safety principles.
Live Security Clearance (SC) is highly advantageous.
A proactive and reliable engineer with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
