OverviewSenior Early Years Educator – Permanent/Full Time

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our exciting, hard working and supportive team of committed early year’s practitioners at Whitnash Nursery School. Applications are particularly welcome from experienced candidates. It is a permanent full time (37 hours per week), term-time only post with keyworker responsibilities working in our Nursery with our three and four year old children. This is a chance to come and work in a small, highly successful professional team with excellent opportunities for professional development. Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm.

Key Requirements

NNEB or NVQ 4 in Childcare and Education

Knowledge/understanding of the Early Years Curriculum

Experience of working with 3-4 year old children

Understand schools’ policies and how they relate to local and national framework/policies

Able to relate well to children and adults

Have experience of ICT as a learning/communication tool

Have good communication skills

Have good listening skills

Be patient

Able to work effectively in a team and to work on own initiative as appropriate

Able to present information effectively to others, verbally and in writing

Able to take responsibility for an area of learning within the nursery

Have experience of the contribution to the organisation and management of stimulating learning environments (indoors/outdoors)
