Senior DT Technician

Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school to recruit a Senior Technology Technician for a permanent position starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician with a background in Design Technology, Food Technology or a related practical learning environment who is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an engaging and innovative Technology curriculum, leading the technician team and ensuring the department operates efficiently, safely and effectively. The school is also open to considering candidates seeking a part-time, 3-day-per-week position, making this a flexible opportunity for the right individual. Your new roleReporting directly to the Head of Technology Faculty, you will: Lead and organise the Technology Technician team across the faculty Ensure practical lessons are fully resourced, set up and ready for delivery Support teachers and students during practical activities and demonstrations Manage stock levels, ordering processes and departmental resources Maintain accurate inventories and expenditure records Support the planning and development of practical elements within the curriculum Act as a key point of contact for technology-related site and IT issues Oversee the maintenance, servicing and repair of specialist equipment Ensure workshops, prep rooms and storage areas remain organised, safe ..... full job details .....
