Senior Director of Software Engineering - High Performance Compute at JPMorgan Chase. The role leads multiple technical areas within the Corporate Technology High Performance Compute team, overseeing day-to-day operations, platform engineering, risk and compliance, and product management processes to meet critical SLAs for internal customers.Responsibilities
Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional and operational technology objectivesOwns accountability for decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresOwns accountability for achieving the rigorous operational SLAs required by an HPC Platform including adherence to strict risk and compliance requirementsCarries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operationsLeverages HPC Platform to create innovative solutions for rapidly changing business needsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teamsChampions the firm’s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification on software and infrastructure engineering concepts and experienced applied leadership of technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within the domainExperience of running a key operational platform with stringent SLAsExperience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product ManagerExperience of financial management of an in-house product at a multi-million dollar levelExperience of stakeholder management at a senior level including excellent influencing and negotiation expertisePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
