Senior Digital Manufacturing Engineer
We are delighted to be working with a major international manufacturing business, recruiting a Senior Digital Manufacturing Engineer to join them.
As a Senior Digital Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering, managing and maintaining the core Digital Manufacturing systems, including PLM, CAD/CAM and MES. Additionally, supporting the integration and upkeep of auxiliary systems (tool management, simulation, 3D scanning, robotics) and acting as the primary OEM contact.
What you''ll be doing
- Leading digital integration across engineering, production planning and shop-floor execution using PLM, MES and auxiliary OT systems.
- Delivering, managing and optimising the core OT platforms in line with the digital strategy and roadmap.
- Developing efficient digital workflows and supporting creation of a robust digital thread across the product lifecycle.
- Applying LEAN methodologies to reduce waste, improving flow and enhance factory performance.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality and IT to drive adoption of digital tools and improve data continuity.
- Providing digital work instructions, visualisations and manufacturing simulations to support operators.
- Assessing and introducing Industry 4.0 technologies including machine connectivity, real-time analytics and process automation.
- Providing user training and first-line support for digital manufacturing systems across the business.
About You
- In-depth knowledge and extensive experience managing PLM systems (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent).
- Strong working experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Apriso, or bespoke MES solutions).
- A good understanding of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, Creo, Mastercam).
- An understanding of IT infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-security, safety-critical environment.
- Demonstrated application of LEAN manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, VSM, Kaizen, standard work).
The Working Pattern
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00.
