A global leader in point-of-sale (POS) innovation is seeking an experienced Senior DevelopmentDesigner to join their high-performing engineering team in the East Midlands. This is a pivotal rolewithin a business that partners with some of the most recognisable brands in retail, deliveringcomplex, high-impact display solutions across plastic fabrication, injection moulding and advancedmanufacturing processes.As a Senior Development Designer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end design anddevelopment of sophisticated POS display units. You will play a key role in shaping technicaldirection, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative solutionsfor major global retailers.Key responsibilities of the Senior Development Designer will include:Leading the design and development of complex POS products from concept through to production, utilising expertise in injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming and other manufacturing processes.Driving DFM strategy and overseeing overseas manufacturing development, working closely with international suppliers, production partners and cross-functional teams.Managing prototyping and production, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to mass manufacture while maintaining quality, cost and performance targets.Championing engineering best practice, conducting technical reviews, identifying improvements and ensuring robust documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
