JOB- Senior Designer
LOCATION- Lower Earley
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience

 My client is looking for a Senior Designer  to join their business on a permanent basis in the East Reading area. They are an expert in their field and provide Engineering solutions to a variety of industries.

The Senior Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of projects by preparing technical M&E drawings and plans.
• Produce detailed technical drawings in line with project requirements.
• Organize and facilitate client design meetings, presenting high-level drawings that are functional, safe, and fully compliant with Building Regulations.
• Coordinate design packages and chair cross-disciplinary design team meetings.
• Translate specifications and calculations into technical drawings for factories and regulated enviroments 
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical contractors to refine and develop M&E designs.
• Incorporate cost considerations into design work, applying value engineering principles where appropriate.
• Ensure all final designs comply with commercial building regulations.
• Utilize specialist CAD and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit) and other tools to design required systems.

Experience Required

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit or similar
• Demonstrated experience producing detailed schematics and technical drawings in the commercial sector.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a thorough understanding of M&E design principles.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes and their application to technical design.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and precision in implementing design solutions
