Senior Design Manager Required
Location: Potters Bar 
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000
 
Hill McGlynn Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established construction client to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager, based from their Potters Bar office.
 
This is a senior-level role suited to a confident design professional with a strong track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering medium to large-scale construction projects.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery
• Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, engineers, and external consultants
• Ensuring designs are compliant with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements
• Managing design programmes, risks, and deliverables in line with project milestones
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to internal project teams
• Acting as the key point of contact for all design-related matters with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years'' experience in design management within the construction industry
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams on medium to large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction methods, and project management practices
• Ability to coordinate complex design packages and resolve technical challenges
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
