Be at the forefront of a technically advanced data centre project, responsible for overseeing the mechanical design delivery.

Lead multi-disciplinary design teams through early engagement, detailed design, and successful handover.

Drive innovation and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle, utilising Laing O''Rourke''s market-leading digital and offsite manufacturing capabilities.

Who we''re looking for:

We''re keen to hear from Senior Design Managers with:A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline) and ideally Chartered status.

Proven experience on major, high-complexity projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical/life sciences facilities, healthcare estates, advanced manufacturing, or critical national infrastructure.

Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with confidence managing client teams, designers, and delivery partners.

Robust understanding of design governance, risk management, and design change processes.
