RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a
Senior Design/Project Manager
to join the Design Management Function in our London office and contribute to the delivery of high-profile projects both in the UK and internationally. The role provides exposure to wider project teams and stakeholders, with strong potential for career development and expanded experience.
Working closely with senior members of the Design Management Team, the Senior Design/Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of large and/or complex projects, which may include sub-consultants and may be presented as the project lead to client teams.
This role includes planning and implementing project delivery, facilitating coordination and communication. Candidates should be knowledgeable in project methods and tools, and able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. You will manage design delivery, submissions, risk management, planning, commercial obligations, and progress monitoring while ensuring client objectives are understood and met.
You will have the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility over time and to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to manage profitable project delivery, with support towards chartership where applicable.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day delivery of large and/or complex projects, including coordination with sub-consultants and client teams.
Plan, execute and monitor project delivery, risk management, and progress against milestones.
Coordinate design submissions, ensure quality and compliance, and manage client objectives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and project teams.
Support commercial processes, bids, proposals, and contract administration as needed.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in project management, engineering, architecture or related field.
Member of a recognized professional body (APM, PMP, MCIOB, MRICS, CIBSE, Engineering Council, IET, or equivalent).
Experience in a similar Project/Design Management role or relevant design field, with commercial awareness to support Partners/Associates and contract administration.
