Senior Design Engineer

Overview

Senior Design Engineer – Bristol. Salary £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Hybrid + EAP + Benefits. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading UK player in its field. You will be working in a high performing Design team, overseeing design projects from concept to completion. This role uses SolidWorks and CFD/FEA is involved.Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of pump product lines using SolidWorks.Work as part of a small, collaborative team. Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept to production.Participate in NPD and modification projects.Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.Perform engineering calcs and CFD (computational fluid dynamics).Select appropriate materials for pump construction.Conduct FEA.Develop and execute test plans for prototypes.Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards.Requirements

BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Fluid Dynamics; MSc ideal.Experience with 3D modelling software (Inventor or SolidWorks).5+ years experience within the pump manufacturing industry.Strong experience with CFD and FEA software.CEng status – desirable.Benefits
