Role: Senior Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, United KingdomTerm: PermanentSalary: GBP 40,000 - GBP 60,000 (dependent on experience)Responsibilities

Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsDesigning conveyors and other machinery in the Automation sectorLiaising with manufacturing providers and clientsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports/plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsCreating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsQualifications

At least 5 years'' experience in a similar Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering positionDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or similarPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with hydraulics and pneumatics would be beneficialBackground in Water related industries would be ideal, specifically waste water5+ years experience with sheet metal design and manufactureProficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processesStrong theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenProficient in MS OfficeExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to work well alone as well as in a small multi-disciplinary teamApplication
