Senior FPGA / ASIC Design Engineers - 5G and Satellite Technology Spectrum IT Recruitment is working with a cutting-edge technology business in Southampton that is expanding its engineering team and looking for multiple Senior Design Engineers with strong FPGA / ASIC experience. This is an opportunity to work on genuinely innovative non-terrestrial communications technology, developing technology for 5G base stations designed to operate onboard satellites.The team is developing advanced baseband signal processing technology that will contribute to the next generation of mobile communications and help enable global connectivity. What you''ll be doing: Developing complex RTL designs targeting both FPGA and ASICTranslating system and algorithm requirements into RTL micro-architecturesCreating testbenches and validating designs on the latest FPGA platformsOptimising designs for timing, throughput, hardware resources and powerWorking across the full design lifecycle, from micro-architecture and RTL through to verification and physical implementationCollaborating closely with Algorithm, System Architecture and Verification engineersProducing high-quality design specifications and technical documentation What we''re looking for: Expert-level Verilog / SystemVerilogStrong commercial FPGA and/or ASIC design experienceExperience with synthesis and timing analysisKnowledge of high-throughput data or signal-processing designsExperience optimising timing and hardware resourcesStrong ..... full job details .....
