We are working with a leading medical technology business in their search for a Senior Design Engineer to join their Device Development team. This is a full-time opportunity to be directly involved in the design and development of
cutting-edge medical devices
that make a real difference to patients worldwide.As Senior Design Engineer, you will be hands-on in developing innovative device designs, mechanisms, and test equipment to support product development programmes. You will work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture.Applicants must have extensive experience using Creo, including advanced surfacing.Core responsibilities
Producing high-quality CAD designs for injection moulded components and mechanismsCreating advanced surface models and design concepts using CreoConducting tolerance analysis (TAN) and risk analysis (FMEA) for designsSupporting laboratory testing of prototypes and documenting resultsWriting and reviewing design specifications, protocols, and reportsCollaborating with suppliers, engineers, and project managers to ensure design-for-manufactureEnsuring compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and relevant industry standardsSupporting continuous improvement and mentoring junior team members where appropriateAbout you
Mechanical design/engineering background with
extensive Creo experience
(including surfacing)Strong background in injection moulded component design for high-volume manufactureExperience with prototyping, testing, and lab-based validation activitiesSkilled in producing documentation to support regulatory complianceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to develop solutions from first principlesPrevious medical device experience is highly desirable but not essentialBe part of developing
