Senior Design Engineer

Responsibilities Include:

• Own mechanical design and delivery osubsystems from concept through manufacturing release
• Produce 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and supporting calculations.
• Own manufacturability and production readiness of assigned subsystems, ensuring designs are robust in real-world manufacturing environments
• Utilise manufacturing experience for continuous improvement of design standards, manufacturability, and cost.-
• Lead rapid resolution of design issues arising from manufacturing and supplier feedback to maintain delivery momentum
• Own engineering interface with international suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and progress toward delivery
• Guide and review work from junior engineers to ensure quality and delivery of assigned work
• Champion professional standards of engineering integrity, safety, and sustainability within the team.

Required Experience

• Degree Qualified (Mechanical/Structural/Marine)
• 5-10 years hands-on experience designing mechanical systems in a production environment-
• Proven ability to deliver designs from concept to production in marine, wind, offshore or similar environments
• Proficiency in Siemens NX, Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD)
• Experience working with fabrication, welding, or large structural assemblies.-
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.-
• Proven experience driving cost-reductions to achieve targets.-
