Senior Design Engineer

Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their design department. This is a permanent position, ideal for an experienced engineer with a background in aircraft interior products and project management.Key Responsibilities:Creating detailed drawings of aircraft interior productsProviding support and guidance to other design engineersManaging multiple projects from initial concept through to deliveryEnsuring products meet performance, weight, schedule, cost, and safety requirementsLiaising with subcontractors and customersContributing to design reviews and programme reviewsConducting aircraft surveysComplying with customer specifications and budget constraintsCarrying out duties as requested by the departmental managerJob Requirements:Trained Engineer (Apprenticeship, HNC, Degree or equivalent)Proven experience within aircraft manufacture, sub-tier component manufacture, or airline businessSkilled in 2D and 3D design tools, preferably SolidWorksUnderstanding of CAA 21J, JAR/CS-25 is beneficialExperience in liaising with subcontractors and customersUnderstanding of different methods of manufacturingAble to work within the UK and EuropeValid UK Licence holderAble to travel at short noticePersonal Attributes:Proactive and a ''self-starter''Able to provide guidance and support to fellow colleaguesGood communicator and confident in liaising with customersAttention to detailAble to communicate at different levels within ..... full job details .....
