Your new role
As the project lead for the design of highways maintenance and improvement schemes, you''ll take ownership of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:Conducting technical design checks
Carrying out site visits for surveys and inspections to inform the design process
Leading resource planning and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including sub-consultants
You''ll play a key role in managing people and processes - from planning resources to supporting team development. We''ll support you in delivering staff training, performance reviews, mentoring, and performance management.
What you''ll need to succeed
Be a highly experienced Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng/CEng
Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects to achieve customer programme, cost and quality expectations within the highways sector
Experience in the application and review of alignment, drainage and sign design software and AutoCad package.
Proven experience in design, resource planning and programme managementA strong track record of managing health and safety throughout both design and construction phases
A full, clean UK or EEC driving licence
