Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer Location: Maidstone Salary up to £67,700 + Car Our client is currently recruiting a Senior Design Engineer to join their specialist Civil Engineering business. This role will involve leading the development and delivery of both temporary and permanent works designs across complex infrastructure and heavy civil engineering projects. The successful Senior Design Engineer will play a key role in ensuring designs are technically robust, safe, and fully compliant with relevant standards while supporting project teams from initial concept through to construction delivery. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the production and review of engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation. They will work closely with project teams, clients, and supply-chain partners to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with project programmes. This role will also involve providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting continuous improvement in design processes, digital engineering practices, and temporary works governance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in temporary works design within the civil engineering sector, including structures such as formwork, falsework, excavation support systems, and crane bases.
