Senior Design Coordinator - Building Envelope
- Salary: -45,000 - -55,000 PA, Depending on Experience
- Location: Office based in North London, with remote working
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (30 min lunch)
- Start: ASAP (flexible for notice)
Overview:
A growing building envelope contractor is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to take ownership of design delivery across multiple live projects. You''ll manage design programmes, Information Release Schedules (IRS), consultant inputs and approvals, ensuring design information is issued on time and in line with UK regulations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control design information across all live fa-ade projects
- Create, maintain and drive Information Release Schedules (IRS) and design programmes
- Coordinate internal design resources; forecast and plan future resource needs
- Manage and monitor external design consultants and specialist inputs
- Lead internal/external design meetings and manage stakeholder communication
- Coordinate structural, thermal, acoustic and fire engineering inputs where required
- Manage design governance: risk registers, change control, document control
- Support Gateway 2 / Golden Thread information requirements where applicable
- Produce design KPI reporting and management updates; drive process improvements
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrable UK construction / building envelope experience
- Experience coordinating design on UK construction projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong programme management and deliverables planning (incl. IRS)
- CAD or BIM experience within building envelope, fa-ade design coordination
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and NHBC requirements
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness of scope changes, variations and programme impact
Desirable:
- Experience managing external consultants
- Building Safety Act / Gateway process exposure
- Higher-level design coordination or design management experience
Package & Benefits:
- -45,000 - -55,000 per annum, Depending on Experience
