King''s Service CentreDescriptionThe Senior Delivery Manager (SDM) is responsible for delivering IT-based change in a large, complex environment, leading a diverse, multi-skilled team. The SDM will have expertise in either—and preferably both—Agile and Waterfall delivery methods, and will manage change initiatives from start to finish, including procurement, finance and budget management. The post holder will build positive working relationships across a wide stakeholder community including external partner organisations to ensure that outputs and outcomes are delivered effectively and efficiently.Application Deadline:

Newquay, Cornwall, UKEssentialThe following responsibilities, qualifications and skills are required or strongly preferred for this role.
Experience of delivering complex IT change in line with King’s change delivery standards.
Authoritative knowledge of work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role and specialist work practices and/or professional guidelines relevant to the work area.
Experience in IT procurement activities in conjunction with Procurement, Supplier Management, and IT Solutions colleagues.
Ability to build benefits realisation plans and drive their execution.
Managerial skills such as coaching, motivation and performance management.
Financial acumen with training or experience in budgeting and cost control.
Experience managing delivery using either Waterfall or Agile frameworks; knowledge of both is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Experience managing activities of self and/or others; change delivery experience across projects or programmes.
Direct managerial track record with experience delivering value through diverse teams.
Sector/commercial awareness and understanding of systems/services in own area.
Coaching/motivating teams and managing performance.
Financial knowledge related to management and control of budgets.
For Waterfall
Prince2 Practitioner, APMP PMQ, PMI PMP or equivalent certification.
Excellent project planning and dependency management skills.
Knowledge of contract lifecycles, vendor management and procurement.
For Agile
SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification.
Knowledge and Skills by Area

Clear and precise communication; ability to convey complex information.
Decision Making, Planning and Problem Solving:
Resource planning, project leadership, and solving complex issues.
Teamwork and Development:
Training needs assessment and coaching to develop others.
