Senior Data Scientist (Contract) 3 Months Initial (possibility to extend) Hybrid, London £500 - £600 Per Day Immediate Start The Company They are an early-stage AI organisation focused on developing advanced data products for a complex global industry. Their work combines machine learning, data modelling, and modern AI techniques to generate meaningful insights from rich, real-world datasets. With a strong technical culture and deep domain expertise, they are looking for an experienced contractor to help deliver critical data science capabilities at an important stage of growth. The Role and Deliverables Profile, analyse, and explore complex industrial datasets to identify modelling opportunities and data quality considerations. Establish baseline approaches and define robust evaluation datasets, metrics, and validation frameworks. Build and deploy classification, matching, and inference models for production use. Measure model performance and produce detailed error analysis to support ongoing improvement. Apply LLMs in appropriate use cases such as extraction, constrained labelling, and code generation, supported by clear evaluation processes. Collaborate with domain experts to translate complex business challenges into practical machine learning solutions.
