We are seeking a Senior Data Science Manager to lead our team of data scientists in developing the AI/ML infrastructure powering Humara, our Gen AI product that helps users discover products, answer questions in real time, and guide them through complex sales processes.About the role:
You will lead data science strategy, guide technology and architecture decisions, ensure scalable and cost-effective solutions, and drive the model lifecycle and roadmap for the product.Responsibilities
Managing, mentoring, and supporting a team of data scientistsIntroducing the latest industry developments for evaluation and adoptionIdentifying, socialising and building ambitious data science capabilities to take the product forwardServing as a subject matter expert internally and externally, engaging with key customer stakeholdersTranslating use cases, pain points and success criteria into technical solutionsCollaboratively developing and agreeing on data-driven solutionsBuilding and maintaining high-quality machine learning models and toolingWriting robust, automated tests to ensure system integrity and qualityPromoting data governance through documentation, observability and controlsTroubleshooting, resolving issues, maintaining operational stability and responding to incidentsChampioning tools, standards, and best practices within the teamSkills and experience
Proven experience managing and mentoring data science teamsStrong commercial experience in a senior data science roleComfortable owning and delivering technical projects end-to-endDeep understanding of machine learning model lifecycles and MLOps patternsComfortable evaluating both business and technical requirementsSkilled at training models on large datasetsExperience with Python, PyTorch, scikit-learn and other ML frameworksStrong knowledge of cloud computing (AWS preferred), containerisation and model deploymentBenefits
