Advance our Data Strategy by moving from traditional on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-based architecture using a cloud-native Data Platform built on Microsoft Azure (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and dbt).Contribute to the design and implementation of our cloud-native platform with a proven track record in Azure data engineering.Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver trusted data solutions that meet the Society’s information needs; help drive improvements and maximise the value of data.Play a key role in the Society''s change hubs and proactively identify process improvements and new ideas to maximise data value.Embrace a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement using Agile techniques, delivering incremental enhancements and participating in design and code reviews, with mentoring where appropriate.Work in a collaborative, trusting environment that values diverse perspectives and creative solutions in the best interests of our customers and colleagues.As the UK tech industry booms, appreciate the career potential in this diverse sector.What Do We Need From You?
Experience in the development of Azure Data solutionsKnowledge of data modelling principles, including common patterns (star schema, snowflake, or data vault)Experience in end-to-end ETL/ELT solutionsExperience in maintaining and optimising an Enterprise Data WarehouseKnowledge of data analysisKnowledge of testing and software release managementExperience in business process and requirements analysisExperience of full life-cycle software developmentUnderstanding of Agile methodologiesExperience working with CI/CD toolsKey Technology
Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Storage, Key VaultExperience with source control systems, such as Gitdbt (Data Build Tool) for transforming and modelling dataSQL (Spark SQL) and Python (PySpark)Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900)You will need to be you.
