Senior Data Engineer

I''m currently recruiting for a senior data engineer based in Dublin, this is an initial 6-month contract. Focusing on hybrid working strong day rate available.

You''ll own the technical strategy and delivery of its data and analytics engineering function and lead a team of Data Engineers on a Microsoft Fabric platform.

About the Role

• Set the technical strategy and architecture for the data platform.
• Line-manage and develop a team of Data Engineers.
• Own the platform''s reliability, scalability and cost from end to end.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a senior or lead Data Engineer with strong hands-on data modelling expertise.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Proficiency with a modern cloud data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience setting architecture and standards for both pipeline engineering and data modelling.

Desirable

• Experience in a regulated industry.
• Previous technical experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience building or scaling an engineering function from a small team.
• Experience setting up data testing and CI/CD practices.
