Senior Data Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data team and contribute to the development of a modern cloud-based data platform.

You''ll be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and delivering reliable datasets that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making across the organisation.

Working alongside data engineers, BI specialists, and business stakeholders, you''ll play a key role in the ongoing evolution of the company''s Azure-based data estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Integrate data from multiple systems and external providers
• Develop scalable and reliable data models
• Improve monitoring, testing, and platform performance
• Support data quality and governance initiatives
• Collaborate with BI teams to deliver trusted reporting datasets
• Contribute to platform improvements and architectural decisions
• Maintain documentation and data lineage records

Essential Skills

• Strong SQL development skills
• Experience with Python or a similar programming language
• Data engineering or data integration experience
• Understanding of data modelling and ETL/ELT concepts
• Experience implementing data validation and testing processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
