Senior Data Engineer (Informatica)

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (Informatica) for a 12 month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds or Newcastle. Core Purpose We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer (Informatica) to support the enhancement and modernisation of DWP''s data integration services. You will work within a Legacy Informatica PowerCenter environment, helping to reduce technical debt, improve data quality, enhance existing data pipelines and support the ongoing migration of services to the cloud. You will help ensure business critical data remains accessible, performant and trusted by users across the organisation. As a Senior Data Engineer (Informatica) your main responsibilities will be to:. Build and manage data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and SAS Enterprise Guide, including extracting, combining, cleansing and loading data from multiple source systems into target environments.. Ensure data quality through validation, standardisation and the application of consistent business rules before data is released for use.. Develop and maintain error handling, monitoring and logging within mappings, scripts and procedures to support issue identification and resolution..
