Senior Data Engineer

Are you an experienced Data Engineer who wants to use your technical expertise to build data solutions that make a real difference? Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development of our cloud data platform. You''ll help make sure teams across the charity have access to trusted, secure and reliable data-giving them the confidence to make better decisions for our supporters and fundraising. This is a hands-on technical role with the opportunity to shape how our data capability evolves. You''ll build and improve data pipelines and integrations, develop our data warehouse, solve complex problems and lead and support a Data Engineer. Salary The salary for this role is £62,000 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and continuous improvement of our cloud data platform, ensuring it is reliable, secure and able to grow with the organisation. Design, build and optimise data pipelines, SQL data models and transformations that provide teams with high-quality, accessible data.
