Senior Data Architect (SAS Legacy and Viya)

Telford | Inside IR35 SC Clearance Required We are recruiting for a Senior Data Architect to join a major public sector transformation programme delivered by a leading global consultancy. This role is a key technical leadership position within a complex enterprise data environment spanning both Legacy analytics platforms and modern cloud-enabled data services. You will act as the architectural authority for SAS-based solutions and provide governance, design assurance, and strategic direction across multiple teams and suppliers. This is not a hands-on development role. We are looking for a senior architectural specialist with deep SAS expertise, strong integration experience, and the ability to guide modernisation across Legacy and cloud environments. Key Requirements: Strong experience as a SAS Architect or Senior SAS Technical Lead in large-scale enterprise environments Deep hands-on experience with SAS 9.x, Base SAS and SAS Grid environments Proven experience designing and integrating SAS solutions with enterprise data warehouses Strong understanding of data architecture principles, governance, and design assurance Experience defining integration patterns between analytics platforms and enterprise data systems Ability to act as a technical authority for architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs Experience working with data engineering, platform and infrastructure teams in complex delivery environments Strong understanding of performance, scalability, security and ..... full job details .....
