Senior Cyber Security Analyst (Hybrid / Birmingham)

Overview
This role involves implementing and managing security measures to protect systems and networks in a professional services environment. The successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and reliability of the organisation''s technology infrastructure in Birmingham.Responsibilities
Work with a managed service provider for cyber security incident managementProactively conduct threat detection and improve threat detection and management processesConduct vulnerability assessments, ensure remediation, and recommend improvements to mitigate risksDevelop security playbooksWork with the engineering team to implement security tools and controlsScope penetration testing and review related reports from external service providersCollaborate with the technology department to integrate security protocols into system designsEnsure and develop security posture for newly acquired businessesProvide guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity best practicesProfile / Qualifications
Proven experience in cyber security operations including threat hunting, detection and response, and vulnerabilities remediationFamiliarity with data protection regulations and compliance requirements such as ISO27001, GDPRSolid experience in SIEM tools, preferably Microsoft SentinelRelevant certifications are desirableExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersOffer / Benefits
