An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in South London is seeking an experienced Senior Curriculum Leader - SENDCO to join its leadership team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an established SENDCO or aspiring senior leader to shape SEND provision across Key Stages 3-5 while playing a key role in whole-school improvement.
The Role
- Lead and develop the school''s SEND strategy and provision across Years 7-13.
- Act as the designated SENDCO, overseeing EHCPs, annual reviews and statutory processes.
- Drive inclusive teaching and learning across all departments.
- Lead, develop and line manage SEND staff and Learning Support Assistants.
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure effective interventions for students with additional needs.
- Work closely with parents, external agencies and senior leaders to secure excellent outcomes for students.
- Contribute to whole-school leadership, safeguarding, curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
- Teaching commitment of approximately 16 periods per cycle.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience leading SEND provision within a secondary school.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Passionate about inclusion, achievement and student wellbeing.
