Job Title: Senior Credit Risk Specialist/Credit Risk Review Consultant Location: Moorgate, London (50% hybrid) Security Clearance: SC clearance required End Client: Confidential - Central Banking/Financial Regulatory Sector Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Specialist to support a major organisation within the UK financial regulatory sector. The successful candidate will lead independent reviews of credit risk management frameworks and credit asset quality across UK retail and SME banking institutions. This position requires extensive experience in credit risk management, portfolio analysis, regulatory assessment and the evaluation of credit risk models. Essential Skills and Experience Extensive experience in UK Retail Banking and/or SME Banking credit risk. Strong background in Credit Asset Quality Reviews and Credit Risk Management Framework Reviews. Credit portfolio risk management experience gained within a bank, financial regulator or similar institution. Good understanding of IFRS 9, IRB models, credit stress testing and credit risk forecasting. Experience assessing credit provisioning methodologies and loan portfolio quality. Strong knowledge of credit risk governance, risk appetite, Three Lines of Defence and regulatory frameworks. Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
