We’re building a huge technology company that helps make moving country easier. To fulfil our global ambitions, we need extremely ambitious people.

We back the ones who step outside the norm.

People who find themselves on a different path, either by choice or by circumstance. The exceptions to the rules that others aren’t interested in serving. Those are the ones we want to back, in everything we do.

So far we’ve helped over one million drivers get a fairer price on their car insurance, most of them UK newcomers. Now we’re creating tech-first financial products for anyone who moves to a new country. People whose problems we are uniquely positioned to solve.

Get to know us betterAt Marshmallow, we live and breathe our values. They define who we are, what we stand for and how we work day-to-day. Could this be you? Check out our open roles.

We think big and long-term, and are unafraid of solving problems in novel ways.

Great leadership is the bedrock of great companies.

That’s why we invest heavily in development and measure all roles, no matter the level, against a set of key behaviours. This framework exists to set expectations and help you keep moving on up.

We’re future-obsessed

We know where we want to go long-term and provide an inspiring vision to get there. We anticipate changes in market conditions, regulation and technology to ensure we’re always one step ahead.

We raise the bar

We have unreasonably high ambition, and ensure we have the teams to back it up. We spend an inordinate amount of time ensuring we work with the best people and support them to fulfil their potential. Equally, we know mediocrity is contagious and extinguish it rapidly.

We’re culture icons

We are unyielding in our belief and advocation for our culture, always acting in-line with our values and encouraging teammates to put culture front and centre.

We know how to get stuff done, quickly and to a high standard both in teams and cross-functionally.

What\''s it like to work here?

We\''ll let the team answer this one...

Charlie"There are other areas in engineering that I’m interested in across the company. I’ve talked about this to my managers and they’re very supportive. They’ve helped show me what improvements I need to make to get to the next level, and have made a lot of time to discuss those things with me in my reviews."

Jerome“In my team, we are currently focusing on helping our customers reach out to us as easily and quickly as possible if they are involved in an accident. It is challenging due the complexity of process or some external requirements, for example. But, it is very rewarding to be able to help customer at a point in their experience where they really need our service to be here for them."

Maria"We\''re building an insurance company from the ground up. That’s exciting for engineers because they get to be part of the team that makes the very first decisions on how something is built. We have lots of problems to solve here, and engineers are at the centre of the solution!"

To solve big problems,we need exceptional peoplefrom all walks of life.

We’re creating a culture where everyone feels empowered to bring their unique perspectives and boldest ideas to the table. We do this by following a three part philosophy: belonging, recognition, and influence. Discover more.

We have two places to call home; London and Budapest. In London we have a large, modern office minutes from Old Street roundabout, offering easy access to transport links, shops and lunch spots. In Budapest, we have a brand-new office space near Fövám Square. It’s designed just for us - and did we mention that it’s dog friendly?

Free breakfast and lunchesDepending on where you’re based, once a week or fortnight, lunch is on us! We also provide free breakfast supplies, plus plenty of snacks and a dedicated drinks fridge packed with sodas and tipples for after-work socials. Cheers.

Company get togethersWe have company parties twice a year in London and Budapest, a monthly All Hands, and annual off-site Ambition Days.

Charity partnerships

How we give backWe proudly partner with two charities that support migrants and refugees in the UK and Hungary. Everyone at Marshmallow can take two volunteering days a year to lend a hand with employability workshops, mentoring and more.

Breaking Barriers is a leading specialist refugee employment charity in the UK, driving the Business Behind Refugees movement and supporting refugees to find meaningful employment. This initiative empowers refugees and asylum seekers by helping them leverage their skills and talents to achieve financial independence and build new lives.

Menedék is a charity who supports the social integration of domestic and foreign citizens migrating to and from Hungary. They do this through a variety of social, educational and cultural programs, including counselling, language lessons, training and workshops.

Want to find out more about life at Marshmallow?

Since we founded the company in 2017, Marshmallow has insured over one million drivers, most of them migrants. That has allowed us to grow to 600+ colleagues, reach profitably, and raise $100s of millions in capital. We’ve done that by building all of our own technology end-to-end — from underwriting to fraud and claims — and delivered unbeatable prices for our customers in the process.

What we’ve achieved so far is

just the beginning .

Millions of people migrate every year, and when they do they find all kinds of financial products impossible to get access to. We’re going to change that, by being the company that makes tech-first financial products aimed at migrants. We’re going to solve more problems, with more products, in more places.

Our success so far in the UK is a solid foundation. Now it’s time to build on it. We want to be a huge technology company. Every day we’re relentlessly building, testing, learning and challenging, making bigger and bolder moves to achieve our ambitions.

We look forward to having you with us on the journey.

About MarshmallowWe build financial products that accelerate the economic freedom for people who move across borders. We started with car insurance — insuring over a million drivers — and we’re scaling beyond. Tens of millions of people move countries each year, facing overlooked financial challenges. Our future is in building financial products around their needs to positively impact their lives.

How we workWe’re really proud of the culture we’ve created. We push for progress every day, because we know that we’ll only hit big milestones by taking lots of smaller steps. We’re always open to helping our team mates, sharing our ideas, experience and knowledge to solve problems together. We take risks, think creatively and experiment relentlessly to meet our customer’s needs, and never pass blame when things go wrong. We encourage people at all levels to take ownership of their work, and to be bold in challenging how we do things. Everyone has a voice and the opportunity to make an impact. And autonomy and ownership are only possible with clear direction. That’s why we collaborate to do in-depth planning twice a year, and make sure we leave with clear goals and objectives that flow from top to bottom. To make sure we’re as aligned as possible across functions, most of our work rolls up into three tribes; Acquisition, Retention and Claims. Each tribe has multiple teams embedded in it, working cross-functionally to do great work. We’re so excited for all of the challenges up ahead, and we need more people to help us tackle them! The Role

We’re looking for a forward thinking Senior Creative Designer to join our Creative Studio team. As an experienced visual designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating bold, effective and performance-driven comms and content across marketing and the wider business.

What You\''ll Do

You’ll be able to think big and bold when it comes to campaign ideas, as well as small and precise when crafting execution. You\’ll already be leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance and speed up your production and impact and able to constantly adapt your design approach as this landscape evolves.

You’ll work closely with our Marketing and Growth teams to create campaigns, promotions and content across all channels with a focus on scaling creative for digital performance channels.

You’ll help us reach and convert our new to the UK audience through standout, insight and data-driven creative that’s optimised for performance, tested, iterated, and continuously improved based data and results.

You’ll collaborate with the Design and Experience Team to ensure a consistent brand experience from button to billboard.

You’ll roll up your sleeves to create high-impact performance assets, from rapid-turnaround A/B test variations to hero campaign concepts.

You’ll utilise UGC assets to deliver visual communications that speak to customers on their terms.

You’re more than someone who just designs — you’ll build relationships with stakeholders, follow up on performance insights, and actively use data to inform creative decisions. You’ll educate and persuade when needed, challenge assumptions, and never settle for “that will do.” As a brand ambassador, you’ll drive high creative standards while ensuring our assets work hard to deliver measurable results.

What we are looking for

A strong portfolio of high-impact, consumer-facing work that demonstrates great typographic, layout, hierarchy and technical skills across marketing channels, with clear examples of performance-driven creative for paid social, display, search and programmatic.

Proven experience designing for the marketing funnel, with deep knowledge of how to iterate creative based on insights, including creative automation and dynamic creative optimisation.

Confident in creating motion-first assets optimised for performance, ensuring stories work in both quick-cut (under 6 seconds) and longer-form formats.

Experience developing creative variations for A/B and multivariate testing, and iterating based on results to continually improve engagement and conversion.

Ability to adapt creative to different audience segments, cultural contexts, and funnel stages while keeping it on-brand.

Skilled in ideation for all channels and touchpoints, able to spot and exploit opportunities that drive measurable impact.

Experience collaborating in-house with other creatives and copywriters to shape messaging, art direct video, and storyboard concepts.

Comfort in utilising and testing new AI tools to continuously improve and enhance output and pace in your work.

Strong presentation skills — confident building decks and taking stakeholders on a journey, clearly communicating process, ideas, and rationale.

Strategic and solutions-focused: you understand the “why” and will seek to uncover the real outcomes behind a brief before developing creative solutions.

Organised and proactive, able to take ownership of complex projects, work with multiple teams, and prioritise to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
